Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Demaray Akpom.
The Gunners have a host of options for their attacking options, and could look to bring in one of their leading strikers in the player’s homeland.
Reports in Turkey have linked the Gunners with a move to sign Demarais Gray, who is also the subject of interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
Akhmad Akyol, the manager of the Turkish side, has previously said he wants to add two more strikers in his first season in charge of Palace, and the 23-year-old is expected to be on the radar of Turkish giants Besiktas.
Arsenal are believed to be the favourites to land the player, but they have yet to offer an official offer, and have been reluctant to sell until a deal is done.
Ackyol was also the first Turkish to take over at Arsenal, as the club had struggled to find a way past Arsenal in the last couple of seasons.
While there has been plenty of speculation about the Gunner’s pursuit of Akpomi, the Turkish club have not been able to sell the player to the highest bidder.
But the Gunning could still sign the highly-rated forward, who has scored 11 goals in the Premier League this season.
Akpom’s arrival could be one of the biggest transfer moves of the summer, with Arsenal hoping to sign a striker for £35 million, as they look to bolster their strike force.
A deal is expected within days, with the player being on the brink of a move from Arsenal and it is understood that the club are ready to offer £40 million.
