Turkish manufacturer Blue Sensor has just announced that it is producing drones for US markets, including New York City and Boston.
Blue Sensor says its first drone, the Drone V, will be available in April.
The company says the drone will be “the most innovative and affordable drone in its class,” and will feature an 18-hour battery life, up to 300 feet of flight range, and a range of up to 5,000 miles (8,000km).
The company says it will be capable of flying at an altitude of 35,000 feet (10,000m).
The company will also offer drones for rental and for sale.
Blue’s drones will be equipped with a “smart flight system,” and the company says “they will have the ability to autonomously navigate and avoid obstacles, and can be programmed to fly at varying altitudes, for different weather conditions.”
Blue says it plans to build drone factories in the US, China, and India.
The company also says it is working with drone makers to make drone-related products, including a new drone-friendly water bottle.
